Nouveau New Look

As seen in the post below, Posh sports a pair of sexy heels on the front cover of Elle Magazine. Well, these bad boys (or naughty ladies) are the Dior Guepiere Heels.

Modelled after the delicate boning used in the waist cincher-a sort of corset-to establish the Dior "New Look," which basically accentuates the waist, these shoes are the definition of sugar and spice.

Here's a little FYI: In the 1940s, Harper's Bazaar editor-in-chief, Carmel Snow, exclaimed "It's such a New Look!" when reviewing the Spring/Summer collection. The signature shape was characterized by a below-mid-calf length, full-skirt, large bust and most importantly, small waist. So there...the more you know!

Great Heights?

Lady Gaga has a shoe fetish.

Look at these dangerous heels. I have no words. I can't help but admire her...and yet think she's completely nuts. Who am I kidding, I kinda worship her.

Kudos Lady Gaga, kudos.

Earlier in the week, she went out for dinner with Brit singer, Mika. She chose a little something more demure. Y'know...not to be showy or flashy or anything. She's amazing.

Christian Louboutin for Rodarte

I saw these shoes a while back when browsing through pictures of Rodarte's Fall 2008 runway show. They were fierce (in every sense of the word) then and they are fierce now. Christian Louboutin designed these for Rodarte and well...isn't that just grand?

Here are a few pics of the shoes from the show as well as Posh stepping out the other day with her other accessory, David Beckham.

Pistol

Am I crazy about Madge's latest re-invention? Not really. But I recognize quirky when I see it and I LOVE these shoes. She didn't make these handgun high heels. Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld did and he calls them "Miami Vice." Plus, it's Madge, she can do whatever she wants (just no more Timbaland).
