Favorite NYFW collection #3: Alexander Wang

Okay, so I've been keeping my eye on New York Fashion Week. My number 3 favourite show belongs to Alexander Wang. This Fall 2009 collection is his best outing yet. If Sarah Jessica Parker approves, I can't not.

The beauty is in the texture, cuts and silhouettes. Nordic witch hunt + Scandinavian cool. You will be wearing something inspired by these looks- I guarantee it.

Adrianna Lima as Amy Winehouse

Although I'm not a fan of Adriana Lima, this shot of Lima as Amy Winehouse circa Back to Black is pretty damn good. The tattoos are wrong, but she totally captures Amy's stance and swagger. Now, if only the real Amy could kick the drugs and booze and make a great comeback. One can hope.

Side note: This Cavalli dress has been popping up everywhere from Miley Cyrus to other shoots- I cannot decide if I like it or hate it. Thoughts? Does it look like an apron?

The new Lady Gaga video is out and there is just something so 'pop' about her that I love. Love Game shows a raunchier side to Gaga. Also, all the leather, chain and denim- Bad by Michael Jackson anyone? Total pleasure, no guilt. I think she's fab.


Also, can we discuss these heels for just one second? In awe.

• Brandon's nail polish is ridiculous - I have an aversion to chipped polish on a woman and an even greater to chipped polish on a guy
• Group challenge time!
• I kinda like Kim
• Adejoke is duller than drying paint
• Today's challenge is.....lame.

• Tatters? Boobs are tatters?
• Jessica "White-suburban girl all yo yo yo," is getting tired
• Christie is miserable - the fact that she announces that broad shoulders are over is absurd because shoulder pads are just being welcomed back into the fashion world
• Sunny and Baylor need to hook-up
• I can't even describe how Jason dresses - he's like a bargain-bin gay gigolo
• Christie shouldn't' be wearing yellow. Also, she needs to bathe. Also, she needs to realize that "not doing what I want," is part of Project Runway

• Jason is now dressed like a baby-seal-cum-90's-era-white-thug
• "I'm having confidence issues, y'know." GOD I HATE CHRISTIE...where does he shop?
• The more I watch, the more dull these contestants seem
• Gluing garments together worries me
• Brandon is just a big bag of eyes, lips, mouth and obnoxiousness
• The Winners ads are fiercer than the show and it's 'fashions'
• Iman in yellow makes sense, not Christie

Blame it on Rio

After a childhood and career battling the Catholic church, Madonna finally made amends with Jesus, albeit Jesus Luz (not Christ), her flavour of the week. This freshly 22-year old Brazilian model has been Madonna's glorified pool boy since they met at this Steven Klein photoshoot for W's March issue.

These photographs are just as provocative as anything else during Madonna's Erotica/Justify My Love days. Her hair hasn't been this platinum since Bedtime Stories and Who's That Girl?























^ This is my absolute favourite from the entire shoot.

• Iman's outfit is horrendous; the David Bowie shirt is tacky because it's Iman wearing it.
